‘Letters Home’ is a celebration of those who emigrated to find work in the U.K. and farther afield during the 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. Hear their stories recorded in their own voices, interwoven with music, songs and a visual backdrop of images & photographs recounting their experiences. The subjects interviewed include legendary and much loved Boyle veteran Christy Wynne.
All are welcome. #frenchpark #countyroscommon Christine Tobin grew up in Dublin and later became an integral part of the London contemporary music scene for many years, then moved to NYC in 2015 where she became part of the city’s creative music world before returning to Ireland in 2020. Awards include a BASCA British Composer Award, an Edinburgh Festival Herald Angel Award, a BBC Jazz Award & a UK Parliamentary Jazz Award. Phil Robson is a UK born, multi-award winning jazz guitarist/composer who has played with many legends of that music internationally as well as in Ireland and the UK.
