For this year’s Guitar Special in tribute to our much missed friend and colleague Dave Colton, we are delighted to host the multi-award-winning and internationally acclaimed guitarist, bandleader and composer, Phil Robson.
Phil’s impressively varied credits include David Liebman, Mark Turner, Billy Hart, James Genus, Kenny Wheeler, Barbra Streisand, Vince Mendoza, Donny McCaslin, Ingrid Jenson, Bob Brookmeyer, Nikki Iles, Jed Levy, and The BBC and NDR Big Bands. He is also known for long associations with his partner, the great singer/songwriter Christine Tobin, and the cult UK band ‘Partisans’ which he co-led with saxophonist Julian Siegel for 23 years.
